I'm afraid I may have brought home with me stormy weather from New York. No snow or ice though, and hopefully just rain.

I've always liked New York. Always eager to go even if Stuart says he wants to leave as soon as he lands at JFK. I must admit visiting is a far different experience from going there to work.

Yet another day...

I have felt lousy since I got back from New York. Jetlag- at least this kind of persistent, all-pervasive weariness- is new to me. If this is creeping old age, sorry, there must be a mistake. I didn't sign up for this.

I'm in the middle of a very important transaction and I need all my faculties firing, please.

Sleep deprivation can cause all this? Angry red rashes all over my body. Almost overnight I'm arthritic, rheumatic. My fingers are thick and tingly. There are strange looking bumps on my knees. The sockets of my eyes hurt. My brain is sleepy.

I realize I'm rambling. Is that even the right word?

This is a very strange affair. This can't all be attributed to what is still anachronistically, inadequately described as jetlag. This is more like post-travel supersonic wastage of body and mind. A sudden onset of old age. An anatomical wasteland.
